Queen with Adam Lambert in Vancouver July 2 Rogers Arena

Queen with Adam Lambert play Rogers Arena July 2nd

Rock and Roll gods Queen have been teaming up with Adam Lambert for the past couple of years and now come to Vancouver in their 25 show tour of North America.

After the death of Freddy Mercury,  Queen took a break for several years then played with Paul Rodgers in the 2000s. Adam Lambert came to fame as a runner up of American Idol in 2009, then releasing a series of successful albums. Being noticed by Brian May, they brought him to tour along side Queen in 2011.

Brian May and the team behind Queen have repeatedly reported that this tour will throw a ton of curve balls from the Queen Catalogue. In the earlier years of Q+AL only Queen’s famous hits where being played but after half a decade as a team playing together, the astrophysicist from England assured us this will be an unforgettable tour, with tons of new songs and a production set with new and fresh ideas. Adam Lambert has also been getting used to the role as Freddy Mercury. In his live performance he manages to pull of an amazing tribute to the late singer, but still adding a bit of his personal tone as to not appear as a Freddy Mercury replacement. Lambert has repeatedly said he does not want to replace Freddy Mercury since his voice and stage presence is irreplaceable. But he does want to continue on with the legacy of Queen and provide tribute to one of Rock n Roll biggest stars.

Queen will tour later in the year the UK and Ireland. The North American tour started on 6th of June in Phoenix, AZ a town they haven’t played in several years.  The tour will take them all across the biggest stadiums in Canada and the US, closing in August at the Toyota Centre in Houston.

Tickets range from $45 to $190
