The Weather Station Worth Tuning In To Nov 8 at The Fox Cabaret

Just watched the new (official video) from The Weather Station. Titled “Kept it All to Myself”, it’s a boppy, upbeat tune with some rich production.

This is the fourth album from this project, fronted by Toronto singer/songwriter Tamara Lindeman.

From Theweatherstation.net: “I wanted to make a rock and roll record,” Lindeman explains, “but one that sounded how I wanted it to sound, which of course is nothing like rock and roll.”

While it’s really closer to roots-rock and folk, Lindeman herself sounds like the love-child of Joni Mitchell and Chrissie Hynde. Lyrically dense with atmospheric melodies their music requires the attention of the listener. Enjoyably cerebral yet with an organic musicality.

I suggest you give them a listen as you can catch them live at The Fox Cabaret here in Vancouver on November 8th.

Tickets $20,
doors 8pm  19+
Guest: James Elkington
