Lights brings her We Were Here tour to Vancouver

Award winning singer/songwriter/comic book artist/comic book hero LIGHTS comes home briefly during her “We Were Here” tour.

The concept of musicians and comic books isn’t new by any means (remember Pat Boone singing to Lois Lane on the cover of Superman’s Girl Friend comic in 1959?)

But Lights has transformed the concept. She released the album piecemeal in conjunction with her comic book series, issue by issue with links on her Instagram account. She also has a great “Making of” video on her YouTube channel…it’s really worth checking out.

But don’t let the multi-media take away from her music, which certainly stands out in a world of formulaic over-processed pop. And certainly one of the few pop albums in recent history where the artist has created a concept instead of trendy, hook-based singles.

It is clear this is an artist bursting with creativity. It shows in her strong, emotional performances of her music and mature songwriting.

This is a fantastic chance to catch her before she moves on to bigger tours and venues.
