- Artist interviews/exposes (itelephoners or video via Zoom, Instagram ‘rooms’ etc). “Ten question email” type interviews won’t be considered
- Album/EP reviews
- Single reviews
- Video reviews
- Concert Reviews
We prefer to write about music that moves us (we either love it, or hate it). Mediocrity is rampant in today’s music industry and average bands and part-time musicians are a dime a dozen – give us an above average band to write about, or a compelling story about the band/artist, or we will pass.
Please only send us bands that fit our genre. We cover Rock/alt rock/indie rock, Punk, Adult Alternative, and some Country. We do not cover Folk, Pop, instrumental, coffee shop singer/songwriter. We will not respond to Folk, Pop, Instrumental etc requests.
If you haven’t read our Submissions guidelines please do so now. Please include a link to your band’s audio (website music player, Soundcloud, iTunes preview, etc) as well as any/all of the band’s social sites.
If your band is just starting out, and has no fan base, no experience – unless they blow us away, we will pass. We spend a fair amount of time listening to and writing up our reviews. Just as you want publicity for your band, we want the band’s fans to read our efforts. Our pet peeve to end all pet peeves is helping ‘break’ an artist, and a year later being passed by as ‘too small’ for press with the same artist.
Please include any relevant information in message box of the contact form including deadlines, cd release date etc if applicable. Once we have the necessary info we’ll be in touch if we love the artist/band.
