Tiger Army & Murder by Death
Commodore Ballroom July 3
written by Conor Graham
An indie psychobilly punk folk rock concert held in an art deco ballroom built in the 1920s by George Conrad Reifel?
That’s right! Coming into Vancouver on a co- headliner tour, Tiger Army and Murder by Death are performing at the Commodore Ballroom July 3rd with special guest Tim Barry.
Tiger Army, which is led by Nick 13 and a revolving door of bandmates is the Los Angeles based punk/psychobilly hybrid that has been thrashing their way through the Southern Californian punk rock scene since the late nineties. And just last year they released their fifth studio album V…- after nine-year hiatus.
Joining them is Murder by Death, the dark and dreamy indie folk five piece who are not nearly as high energy as the aforementioned Tiger Army but the mournful and hopeful weight that they carry in their music should create a very interesting bill for a Monday night.
The show is coming up soon so hurry up and get your tickets!
