Like many Five Finger Death Punch videos, the band’s newest video, ‘When the Seasons Change’, is visually appealing with a clear narrative that is entertaining yet delivers an important message.   Previous 5FDP videos like ‘Sham Pain’ discuss the ups and downs of life on the road and in the spotlight while ‘I Apologize’ addresses the struggle of addiction.  ‘When The Seasons Change’ is equally as powerful, with its beautiful story of friendship, and loving tribute to veteran police officer Charleston Hartfield who perished in the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting while shielding others from harm.

The 5th single off their new album And Justice For None (Metallic nod, anyone?), ‘When The Seasons Change’ starts out looking like a typical cop video.  It has cool shoot out scenes backed by hard rock riffs.  As the video develops further, we learn that it is actually a heartwarming story about a life-long friendship of an unlikely pair.  Although the narrative jumps back and forth, it’s timeline is easily followed.  We learn this duo has been inseparable since meeting on the basketball courts as kids, through basic training and now as cop partners…always having each other’s backs.  The video (written by 5FDP guitarist Zoltan Bathery), is a stunning tribute to veteran and Las Vegas Police Officer Charleston Hatfield and other servicemen and women, and also to loyalty and friendship, even as the seasons change.
