Papa Roach have done it this time… they’ve pulled a real tearjerker move! Papa Roach pull the heartstrings in their newest video for ‘Come Around’ which follows one of their long time fans, Mark Moreno as he shares his story of discovering Papa Roach, meeting his girlfriend at one of their shows, and attending nearly 60 shows since 2006. Mark also shares the loss of his sister, and how Papa Roach music has helped him through the dark times.
The video is also shot live showing the band on the bus (skipping with family), getting ready for the concert, and finally during the show – inviting Mark on stage for recognition as a life time fan – with a twist. We won’t tell you the ending but it’s much more than even Mark had expected and left him in tears and the audience going nuts. Papa Roach prove once again they’re down to earth good people who really do care.
“Personally, it’s my life experience of being on both sides of the song: being the person that needed help, and being the person that has reached out and given somebody help. I feel that in those times we can find who we really are,” says Shaddix of their new single. “We knew ‘Come Around’ was one of those special songs when we got done with it. We walked away from the track and kept humming the melody to it, and it’s just one of those things that gets stuck in your head. Lyrically, this track’s about sticking with your friend through thick and thin, or your loved one, as they’re spiralling out.”
