Steve Earle and the Dukes at the Commodore
You might have to use the Devil’s Right Hand to get tickets for Steve Earle and the Dukes at the Commodore this Sunday as it’s been sold out for some time.
31 years ago he released “Guitar Town” and since then his style has been a moving target. I first encountered the hit single “Copperhead Road” when it was released and I immediately had to get both of those albums. Pretty sure I know the words to every track as these albums were a road-trip must in the CD player.
For this tour with the Dukes he has come full circle (again) to his country roots with a tribute to Waylon Jennings and the other “outlaw” artists from his era. The latest studio album features remakes of his tunes and others like Billy Joe Shaver. It also includes co-written originals and duets with the likes of Miranda Lambert and Johnny Bush.
Expect a raw, honest show filled with songs from throughout his career.
