Papa Roach release another banger! In the lead up to their new album Ego Trip, due out April 8, the band released their 5th single, Cut the LIne. (Other singles include Swerve, Kill the Noise, Dying to Believe, and Stand Up)
Filmed in what looks like the band’s jam space, Cut the Line is classic Papa Roach – loud, heartfelt, snappy, and head-bang-able. The band has a knack for taking dark emotions and somehow spinning things around with a good dose of hopefulness and light; the best of both worlds. The bass line groove really stood out on this track for me, and the bridge is kick ass too.
The band sounds great and looks great – two years of Covid lockdown hasn’t affected Papa Roach Jacoby, Jerry, Tobin or Tony one bit from putting 100% energies into whatever they do. Check it out, and if you’re close enough, check out Papa Roach on tour near you. You can pre-0rder Ego Trip here.
