Woke up with a tune in my head this morning, like I do many mornings, and within a few seconds knew who it was – Sam Roberts’ Brother Down. I’ve never seen the video for this song, so was pleasantly surprised to find the official version available on Youtube (love it when the artists promo themselves by having official items available for sharing).
And why was I thinking of Sam Roberts? Well, this past weekend, Vancouver hosted the Juno Awards – our version of the Grammys – and Sam was up for and won, Artist of the Year. Congrats to Sam and his band! Also… last night I was able to watch a video of Sam joining Canadian band 54-40 on stage at the Commodore Ballroom this past Saturday night as part of the city wide Juno Fest. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to attend that show (volunteering for another venue) but it looks like it was a rollicking good time.
