Our musician friend Jason Pritchett put it best today, we think…
Remembering the late, great Kurt Cobain, who would have been 46 today. Think what you like, but to me, he was an innovator, an artistic genius, and a legend who is greatly missed.
Cobain, lead singer/writer of Grunge band Nirvana, committed suicide April 5, 1994 – 19 years ago. Hard to believe it’s been that long. We all wonder what more he would have done musically if he was still around today – some think amazing things, others think his personal demons would have got the best of him and he would have withdrawn or faded away. Despite the ‘what ifs’ Cobain was one of the trailblazers along with Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam and brought a whole new sound to the music of his time. He was in some ways, his generation’s Hendrix or The Doors.
Gone but not forgotten, Kurt Cobain February 20, 1963 – April 5, 1994.
