Not familiar with The Classic Crime? Us either.. but they crossed our desk this week and we really REALLY love their sound! Check out their new lyric video for ‘Take a Moment’, the first release from their upcoming new album, Patterns in the Static.

The Classic Crime is from Seattle Washington and is made up of Matt MacDonald (vocals, guitar), Alan Clark (bass), Robert “Cheeze” Negrin (guitar), and Paul “Skip” Erickson (drums, vocals).

The band have a HUGE active following on socials, and crushed their current Kickstarter campaign reaching over 300% funding of their goal in just 30 days.. crazy! But this isn’t the first time Classic Crime has done this! In April 2016, The Classic Crime created a Kickstarter to raise funds for a sixth studio album. Within three hours they acquired the necessary $30,000 for the album, How to be Human, released April 2017.

This new album is the band’s 6th LP and the first new music in 3 yrs.. from the band’s website:

PATTERNS IN THE STATIC is marked by heavier and introspective themes of time, loss, and nostalgia. Vocalist and chief song writer Matt MacDonald began reflecting on the album’s theme as he realized it had been three years since the band’s previous LP How To be Human (2017). Time is flying by, kids are growing up, careers are aging, living in the moment has become more and more difficult. PATTERNS IN THE STATIC is an exploration of this phenomenon.
