Judas Priest ‘Firepower’ tour hits Abbotsford Center

One of the few bands formed 50 years ago shows no signs of stopping, hitting some slightly smaller venues and cities as they continue their “Firepower” tour. Despite some recent health concerns which cancelled one show, metal god Rob Halford otherwise appears fit.

Lineup changes don’t appear to have fazed Halford and original bass player Ian Hill…with new music already in the works. Hill said that the band has “some very strong ideas that were left out of Firepower which we never got around to completing. So it’s very much on the cards. When that will happen, I don’t know.”

The setlist will probably not please everyone as is usual with touring for an album, the tracks support it accordingly. But with such a massive discography, they would need a 3 hour set to do themselves justice.

Don your leathers, head out to Abbotsford and see some true metal gods.

BTW Openers Uriah Heep have been around just as long!
