42nd Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival: July 19-21, 2019
Jericho Beach Park, Vancouver, BC

This year’s Vancouver Folk Fest includes rockers Sam Roberts Band, country crooner Corb Lund, and folk-great Basia Bulat along with a very long interesting list of musicians ranging from country to blues to world and everything in-between.

Sam Roberts Band—Last year, singer/songwriter Sam Roberts released a deluxe edition of We Were Born in Flame, his 2003 debut. The platinum (in Canada) record featured the hits “Brother Down” and “Where Have All The Good People Gone?” The release followed the band’s sixth studio album, Terraform, in 2016, one of our favorites.

Basia Bulat—Since releasing her debut album Oh, My Darling, in 2007, Ontario singer Basia Bulat has shared stages with artists like the National, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, St. Vincent, and Sufjan Stevens. In early 2016, she released Good Advice, a break-up record produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket. Very much looking forward to our first time seeing this lady perform!

Corb Lund—Albertan country dude Lund is a live favourite in Canada, and an eight-time Canadian Country Music Awards Roots Artist of the Year winner. HIs most recent album is 2015’s Things That Can’t Be Undone.

Also appearing will be the Hamiltones, Rebirth Brass Band, Larkin Poe, and Los Lobos’ cofounder David Hildago. This year’s festival will take place July 19-21 at Jericho Beach
