Touch

When The Trews singer Colin MacDonald announced a few weeks ago the band waS working on new music I was like, “all ready? But you just did!” I can’t believe its been a year since The Trews released their masterpiece and JUNO nominated album, Civilianaires, but yup.. time flies!

The new tune, ‘Touch’, is described by MacDonald as a “conversation set to come catchy chords and a pretty melody. It’s about feeling disconnected and trying your best to reconnect.”

The Trews have had quite the year. Civilianaires debuted at #1 on the Alternative Album chart and garnered a JUNO nomination for Rock Album of the Year. The band won Rock Group of the Year at  Canadian Music Week’s Jim Bean Indie Awards, and they just performed for “Rockin’ the Big House” charity benefit at the Kingston Penitentiary alongside members of The Tragically Hip, Tom Cochrane and more.

Never ones to do things average and boring, the new video is directed by John-Angus MacDonald, and features the artwork of Rachel Hawk (seen in the video) and Cameron Burns.
